Another thing to remember is that you should start hanging the lights from top to bottom up and always push away the chords so they won’t be seen, push them neatly between the branches.

Other than this you can also create a theme for your Christmas tree and buy only decorations pertaining to that theme, like different kinds of boats or different designs of Santa Claus or the likes.
